Another Killer Music Video by OKGo: “This too Shall Pass”

The guys in OKGo are super creative and you never know what you’ll see next in their music videos. I applaud the team that built these contraptions for the “This too Shall Pass” music video. They are resourceful, witty and perfectionists when it comes to timing and measurement.
It’s just a good time. Check out the new video here >

A Poker Face Parody for Designers

OMG Have you seen this? Neutra Face: An Ode on a Typeface (A Bearded Poker Face Parody.) Like any appropriate design parody they mention Helvetica, sans-serif, leading and “bold-italic.” I love that geeks can go from conception to creation and this one will be stuck in my head all day. Lady GaGa would be proud.

Now Panic and Freak Out

This poster was created by Olly Moss in opposition to the popular Keep Calm and Carry On Posters that have been on the rise. Threadless printed 250 copies but sadly they are sold out. (Re-print anyone?! ) Personally, I do not like the original poster. The overly sensitive tone scares me… so I was happy to find this new version! The original poster was a piece of British propoganda created during the 1930’s as the war with Germany was looming. The history of this poster makes it that more creepy that it is now posted in American households everywhere. Either way, its interesting to see basic typographic posters becoming an important part of interior design. Graphic Designers unite!

Bikes of Burdon by Hans Kemp

These amazing photos capture the true essence of everyday life in Vietnam. The country has it’s own heartbeat with the buzzing and beeping of these motorbikes and without them their economy would come to a halt. From hoses to pigs to people, the Vietnamese transport anything on their scooters. I just bought the book and you should too. Get “Bikes of Burdon” here.
