FGI Mixer

Collar Free hosted the FGI Mixer last night and it turned out to be a big hit. Although a bit warm, it was great to meet all of the local creative community, from boutique owners, clothing and bag designers to painters. Mingling and cocktail hour was at our house/showroom where Jimmy and Pat rapped about the business for a few. We kept the party going down the street to The Linkery to hear more testimonials from the various fashion professionals for great food, stories and cocktails.

Nichole from Bagonia Bags spoke about her awesome fashion/eco-friendly handbags that are super cute and have a secret hidden compartment for your canvas grocery shopping bags. Visit Nichole at www.bagoniabags.com or email her at nichole@bagoniabags.com

Mel and I also met Micha Kuechenhoff, a German transplant to California who recently started her own fabulous jewerly line. Micha uses non-traditional materials and unique combinations set her work apart from the others. Keep your eyes out for Micha’s designs in boutiques all over California. I can’t wait to get a piece of my own!

Our favorite stylist Lauren Fay, contributing fashion editor to the A-List International told us to look our for Jiva Active Fall 2008 Trunk Show. Jiva is new activewear line made from the softest Chinese bamboo and organic cotton perfect for yoga, Pilates or the gym. Come celebrate her new collection with us tomorrow, Friday October 24th, 2008 from 6:00-9:30 pm @ Betsey’s Northpark Villa; 3504 Ray Street 92104.
